Shot labourer walks out of hospital
A gunman walked up to a Ste Madeleine labourer in Marabella early yesterday and fired three shots, hitting him in the abdomen. Police said although nursing gunshot wounds, Marlon Norton, 30, left the hospital.
Investigators said around 4.30 am, Norton, of Tarodale Gardens, Ste Madeleine, was standing at the side of Southern Main Road, Marabella, close to Cudjoe’s bar when the man walked up to him and shot him The suspect then fled.
Officers arrived on the scene and rushed Norton to the San Fernando General Hospital. A search was made for the suspect but he was not found. Corporal Ramroop of the Marabella Police Station, is continuing investigations. (RS)
